Father Serra, cross, and facade

Our last mission visit was at San Luis Obispo.  The Mission in San Luis Obispo is a newer building on an old site and is a working Catholic church.  It has a very pleasing interior and exterior.  Here is what you might see.

The altar was decorated for Christmas and we lucked out with the light coming through the window and hitting the white Poinsettias

We have now photographed 14 of the 21 missions.  We plan to complete the project in 2014.  See our other blogs about the California missions.
